How to Do a Force Refresh
If your website isn’t showing recent changes, your browser might be displaying a cached version of the page. A force refresh tells your browser to load the latest version directly from the server.
How to Force Refresh
Use the keyboard shortcut for your browser and operating system:
- Windows – Chrome, Firefox, Edge: Press
Ctrl + F5 - Mac – Chrome, Firefox: Press
Cmd + Shift + R - Mac – Safari: Press
Cmd + Option + R
This reloads the page and clears the local cache for that page.
Still Not Seeing the Update?
If a force refresh doesn’t work, try clearing your entire browser cache:
- Go to your browser’s settings or preferences
- Look for “Clear browsing data” or “Clear cache”
- Choose the time range (try “All time” to be safe)
- Clear the cache and reload the page
Doing this should resolve most display issues caused by caching.
